What the fuck??? I had no clue as to what to expect when I entered the beautiful Hofteatereton saturday afternoon at 5 PM, but I would have never, not even in my wildest imagination, guessed that it was something even close to what I was about to witness from Nom de Plume by A. Naselli. Before the show my knowledge of Nom de Plume was extremely limited, in fact I only remember having stumbled across the name a few times on the Style.dk-blog, but I can assure you that it was a spectacle not to be forgotten in the foreseeable future! The show started out with a female (at least I think it was a female) model entering the runway in a Devil-like costume while Stand and Deliver by Adam and the Ants was playing on the stereo. And after that it was simply one big extravaganza of ying-yang gay twins, undertakers, Harlequins, knights, and other characters from the rennaissance bursting onto the runway, while everything from J. S. Bach to Carter the Unstoppable Sex Machine was pumping from the above. Somewhere inbetween fashion, theatre, art, and bad taste, Nom de Plume by A. Naselli managed to invent the time machine for a short while, and although it didn’t make much sense at all, it was highly amusing! Not only the show, but the entire fashion week was ended in style, when the mysterious “A. Naselli” entered the stage from under a triumphal arch of lifted rapiers to bask in the applause of the on-lookers, while Andrew Lloyd Weber’s Masquerade was blasting from the loudspeakers. Boom! What a finale to a decent fashion week…
